The greatest reward of my year-long study journey wasn’t the degree itself, but rather the friends I made from all over the world. The exchange and support we shared are the most precious treasures. The biggest inspiration the professors gave me during the courses was about “thinking patterns.” The Western, block-like way of thinking is not common among us Easterners. This training has enabled me to analyze and make decisions more flexibly at work, becoming one of my most practical skills.

My initial decision to enroll stemmed from a small concern. My husband is already an EMBA graduate, and my son is known in the media as a top student; I didn’t want to be labeled with an “inappropriate label.” With Genie’s guidance, I learned that I could complete my degree from the University of Liège in Taiwan. This not only allowed me to push myself but also enabled me to showcase my professionalism and achievements in the public eye, making my child proud of me.

Throughout my studies, I was deeply moved by the service provided by the master’s and doctoral team. Whether it was Genie, Teresa, or the teaching assistants, they all cared for us like devoted nannies, providing real-time translation support even for those with language barriers, allowing every student to focus on their studies with peace of mind. This kind of care made me truly appreciate the value of “joyful learning.” If I were to recommend the University of Liège, I would say: Life is short; you can earn a degree from a world-renowned university in just one year and learn from internationally acclaimed faculty. Why not seize the opportunity? The courses here are not only up-to-date but also truly beneficial. Missing out would be a loss.
